Social Services Practitioner (MSW), Full Tiime, Day Shift
About the role
The Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center, located on our medical center campus, provides advanced cardiovascular care, bringing together expert providers, innovative treatments and compassionate support for patients across the region.
Responsibilities
- Renders clinical psychosocial services to the patients and their families of all ages (neonate to geriatric).
- Affirms patient’s psychosocial needs and makes referrals to appropriate facilities or community agencies.
- Provides crisis intervention and bereavement counseling.
- Utilizes effective problem solving strategies to reach decisions, take appropriate action and follow-through within assigned scope of responsibility.
- Provides consultation and counseling with patients, families, staff, and others in the service of patients.
- Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary meetings and activities.
- Obtains or coordinates resources from community, social, health and welfare agencies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s): Required Master’s Degree in social work or equivalent combination of education/experience: Required Three years' experience in a social agency, hospital, or other organization dealing with health and/or welfare: Preferred
Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW): Preferred

Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $36.08 to $54.07. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
