About the role
The Social Services Director plays a key role in delivering medically related social services to attain or maintain the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Responsibilities
- Understand and apply social work principles, psychosocial assessments and interventions.
- Manage case management, discharge planning, and crisis intervention effectively.
- Engage empathetically with residents and families, communicate clearly and effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Resolve conflicts and mediate situations to create a supportive environment.
- Collaborate with various departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies.
- Work towards a common goal of providing excellent care for residents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or in a human services field required.
- Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
- Previous social services experience preferred.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
