About the Role
The Social Services Caseworker, under the supervision of the Program Director, provides specific substance use disorder treatment (SUD) services to patients and their families. Coordinates case management services and demonstrates commitment to the principles of family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide substance use disorder treatment (SUD) services to patients and their families.
- Coordinate case management services.
Requirements
- 1+ years of SUD experience in a pediatric medical setting or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish.
- 2+ years of experience working with youth and delivering substance use counseling as a board-approved certified substance use counselor.
- Understanding of risk reduction practices and identity development among youth and young adults.
- Group facilitation skills.
- Public speaking and presentation skills.
- Must pass Live Scan screening.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Certification as a SUD counselor by one of the three certifying boards in CA (CAADE, CCAPP, or CADTP).
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
