Social Service - Substance Abuse

About the role

Recognize individuals at risk for drug addiction and provide appropriate recommendations. Educate clients, act as a patient advocate, provide crisis intervention, manage cases, and facilitate individual and group therapy.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on substance abuse prevention and treatment
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients
• Manage client cases and track progress
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
• Act as a patient advocate

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED/TASC
• CASAC certification required
• Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field preferred
• At least 13 years of relevant experience

Pay

• Varies based on experience and qualifications

Schedule

• All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes
• General shifts available: Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p), Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a), Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
• Every other weekend is usually required for all positions
