About the role
We are now hiring a Social Services Director to join our team. This position is committed to providing compassionate, quality care that focuses on the unique needs of our residents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist each resident and their family in adjusting to placement, illness, and the plan of care, ensuring they attain the highest practicable level of functioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2-3 years of related field work experience in social services.
- Ability to develop and maintain a care plan with the facility's interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work with physically and mentally ill, disabled, and emotionally upset elderly individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and be discreet in handling sensitive information.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, and laws related to long-term care.
Nice to have
- Experience in a skilled nursing environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Ability to think strategically and exercise discretion and independent judgment to make logical, practical decisions.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-3 years of related field work experience in social services.
