Social Service Director

About the role

The Social Services Director at Allure of Moline is responsible for overseeing the Social Services Department, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing comprehensive care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Review and update facility policies and procedures
• Contribute to the development of policies for resident care and social work operations
• Attend and participate in quality assurance and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations for social service documentation
• Document progress in meeting residents' psychosocial needs
• Create individualized care plans addressing psychosocial needs and appropriate interventions
• Provide or coordinate therapeutic interventions to support residents' adjustment to long-term care
• Educate residents, families, and staff on residents' rights, cultural diversity, and available community resources
• Organize and facilitate resident/family support groups
• Respond to and manage catastrophic events
• Coordinate discharge planning and make referrals to appropriate services
• Supervise social services students and document their progress according to school guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of social services experience
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
