About the role

The Social Services Assistant assists in the implementation of programs within the Social Services Department, ensuring that the medically related emotional and social needs of residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the facility’s Social Services Department.
• Establish policies and procedures as directed by the Administrator.
• Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of all residents in accordance with the facility’s established policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology).
• Minimum of one year of supervised experience in mental health or human services is preferred.
