About the role

This position supports a clinical trial funded by the National Cancer Institute. Working conditions include an in-office presence Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm, weekly meetings with the research team, and coordinating participant activity across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating recruitment efforts for a clinical trial examining a community-based aerobic exercise intervention for smoking cessation in adults with high anxiety sensitivity.
  • Organizing and overseeing data collection and study protocols, including management, cleaning, and preparation of data collected via online survey platforms (REDCap, R-Studio, Qualtrics).
  • Interfacing with research and clinical staff to maintain effective communication regarding participant scheduling, data management, and quality control.
  • Conducting clinical interviews and preparing assessments.
  • Maintaining and revising Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and assisting with research compliance reports and procedures.
  • Supervising undergraduate students conducting data entry and other tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
  • Prior research experience with human subjects (including experience as a student).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with REDCap.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior research experience in a psychology lab.
  • Experience with large data sets and comfortable with data management.
  • Experience with other software such as R-Studio and Qualtrics.

Qualifications
