About the role
The Learning Ideas Conference (TLIC) is seeking a Part-time Social Media Marketing Coordinator to manage social media for TLIC and its affiliated brands, including IELA, TLIN, and Kaleidoscope Learning. The coordinator will also provide marketing support for TLIC's events and online presence.
Responsibilities
- Design graphics and write copy for a range of marketing materials, including social media posts, periodic email newsletters, and other conference updates and announcements.
- Support and execute social media and content strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and emerging platforms.
- Partner with the Marketing Lead to manage the content calendar and coordinate publishing schedules across social channels.
- Help maintain consistent branding across all social channels and the websites.
- Engage with followers and industry communities to grow audience and brand awareness as needed, with guidance and approval from the Marketing Lead.
- Report to the Marketing Lead on day-to-day tasks and progress.
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, or related fields and roles.
- Strong design and content creation skills, with proficiency in tools such as Canva, Figma, Photoshop, CapCut, and Premiere.
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on professional experience managing social media and online communities across Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Able to commit consistent, reliable hours each week and treat this as a steady priority.
- Self-starter who is adaptable and can work quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience with social media management platforms like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for search engines.
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools to track and analyze social media performance.
Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience with video editing software (Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms and trends.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
