Social Media Marketing Advisor III
About the role
The Advisor, Social Media Marketing leads social media efforts for the corporate and consumer facing brands. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Brand Marketing Operations, this position owns the design, development and deployment of all social content and campaigns – plus omnichannel extensions that extend the reach of messaging both internally and externally. This individual will be engaged at virtually every level of the organization to drive a compelling narrative supporting each brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce Phillips 66’s enterprise-wide social media strategy across Corporate, Fuels, Lubricants and Aviation brands on all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Optimize and enforce strategies pertaining to influencer marketing, employee advocacy and user generated content flows.
- Direct cross-functional digital media campaigns consistent with brand standards, voice, strategy and desired KPIs.
- Manage the Tier 1 agency’s social media time, budget, work and expectations among various campaigns and projects by providing direction on brand campaigns through writing social briefs, tracking progress through status updates, and managing allocated marketing spend.
- Establish social metrics for brand campaigns and promotions with ongoing analysis.
- Manage organic, paid and social listening strategies on a daily and campaign basis.
- Create and manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent and engaging content across all social media platforms.
- Drive social media crisis management by developing and implementing proactive strategies to address and resolve any issues that may arise, considering the unique challenges faced by the oil and gas sector.
- Proactively monitor brand and relevant themes/news stories online to provide suggestions for real-time or timely content, assets and conversations within brand communities.
- Research and identify social media best practices, trends and relevant brand examples within the space for proposals and online audits.
- Translate website and social performance data into actionable insights leading to optimization across platforms and processes.
- Liaise with internal clients, brand directors and in-house creative to deliver on business objectives through social media channels.
- Build audience growth and engagement across social channels.
- Maintain a unified brand voice across social channels with a keen eye for creative excellence.
- Assess demographics to target key audiences across brands.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 or more years in social media or influencer marketing or other relevant experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Sprout Social – the main social media management tool across brands
- Experience developing and reporting on metrics to demonstrate ROI for marketing efforts
Qualifications
- Demonstrated in-market results improving volume and profitability
- 5 or more years in social media or influencer marketing or other relevant experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure common understanding, with the ability to interact with various levels of leadership both internally and externally
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
- Ability to monitor and manage the extended team across creative agencies
- Understanding of the impact external factors have on brand sentiment within the specific industry
- 5 or more years of experience working with creative agencies and developing media plans
- Experience in oil and gas or related industry
- Strong understanding of marketing in the regions where our brands have presence
- Experience executing a brand strategy in market with measurable results
- Financial aptitude with disciplined budget and cost management
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to effectively handle competing priorities through strong planning and organizational skills; demonstrates urgency to achieve objectives with little to no direct guidance and consistently delivers on commitments

Pay
This position has a base salary range of $125,000 – $152,900. At Phillips 66, we are committed to pay transparency and competitive, equitable compensation. Each role is assigned a salary grade with a defined pay range, benchmarked against industry peers. Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
