About the Role

An award-winning production company that powers sports media across YouTube, podcasts, and social for some of the biggest athletes and creators in the space is hiring a Social Media Manager focused on NFL programming. The company produces popular shows hosted by well-known sports personalities across multiple sports. The social media manager will lead the multi-platform social presence for the company's NFL shows and channels, owning the voice, growing the audience, and turning long-form content into engaging short-form storytelling. This role requires someone deeply plugged into the world of NFL football who can combine editorial instincts with platform strategy and community building.

Responsibilities

  • Owning multi-platform programming, content calendar, and content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X for NFL show channels
  • Growing all show channels and maintaining a consistent, active presence in comments, genuinely engaging with and building the community
  • Creating, developing, and owning the show's tone and voice across all platforms with editorial consistency
  • Generating and organizing ideas for social content tailored to each platform
  • Attending show recordings and identifying standout moments to support weekly publishing cadence
  • Timestamping video content and collaborating with editors to ensure efficient content workflows for each platform
  • Developing workflows and delivery deadlines for vertical show content across social channels
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with hosts, executives, and the editing team to align storytelling with talent positioning and audience growth strategies
  • Translating long-form podcast and video content into high-performing short-form storytelling, refining editorial strategy based on audience engagement
  • Tracking and reporting on platform performance metrics to inform content decisions
  • Staying ahead of platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging formats
  • Monitoring NFL news, trends, and cultural moments in real time for timely content opportunities
  • Overseeing ad placements and sponsorship integration across YouTube and social channels
  • Providing guidance to the sales team on brand deals and sponsorship alignments
  • Supporting tentpole event activations such as the Super Bowl with content aligned to show creative strategy

Requirements

  • 4+ years in social media for a brand, creator, or media company spanning strategy and hands-on execution, ideally in sports, podcasts, or entertainment
  • Detailed knowledge of all major social platforms and their best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong, distinct point of view on voice and tone
  • A genuine love of the NFL and the game of football
  • Experience managing content calendars and multi-platform publishing schedules
  • Comfort working with performance data and analytics tools to guide content strategy
  • Self-directed with strong problem-solving skills

Pay

$85,000-$90,000/yr
