About the Company

We help purpose-driven individuals achieve their goals through writing and publishing books. Our mission: help 100,000 people publish a book by 2035, impacting 120M+ lives through what we call Leveraged Impact. We’re not just helping people write books—we’re helping them change their lives. We’ve built one of the highest success rates in online education because we genuinely care about our authors, their stories, and the ripple effect they create. Self-publishing isn’t just an option—it’s the best option. We’re proud to have been named to the INC 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022.

About the Role

This is an in-person summer internship based in our Westlake (Austin) office for Summer 2027. You’ll create real content for two brands: selfpublishing.com and our CEO Chandler Bolt’s personal brand. Your work won’t sit in a folder—it gets posted. You’ll be part of the team that plans, films, edits, and ships content every week, with a focus on making scroll-stopping short-form content and learning exactly why it works.

Responsibilities

  • Create original short-form content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) for two brands: selfpublishing.com and CEO Chandler Bolt’s personal brand
  • Edit and repurpose existing long-form content, including podcast episodes and YouTube videos, into short clips for both brands
  • Write captions, hooks, and on-screen text that match each brand’s voice
  • Help plan and film content in our Austin office, including behind-the-scenes, founder content with Chandler, and team moments
  • Research trending formats, sounds, and creators in the author, book, and entrepreneurship spaces, and pitch new ideas
  • Schedule and post content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
  • Track performance on your posts and share what’s working in weekly check-ins
  • Engage with our communities by replying to comments and DMs

Learning Outcomes

  • How a real content team plans, produces, and ships content every week
  • How to grow a company brand and a founder’s personal brand side by side, and how they work differently
  • Short-form editing and storytelling that holds attention
  • How to read analytics and turn data into better content
  • How social media drives real business results

Requirements

  • Students studying marketing, communications, film, journalism, or a related field
  • Know how to edit, whether on phone (CapCut, InShot) or computer (Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Creator yourself, or at least deeply creative, and love telling stories
  • Person who’s always saving videos to recreate later or sending yourself hooks you like
  • Into entrepreneurship and business building, or love reading, writing, and books (bonus if both)
  • Self-starter who can take feedback and turn work around fast
  • Bonus: a portfolio, personal page, or any content you’ve made
