Description
The Borgen Project is an international organization dedicated to improving living conditions for people affected by war, famine, and poverty through political advocacy. With a history spanning 20 years, the organization has successfully supported the passage of legislation benefiting over 500 million individuals in developing countries.
Responsibilities
- Create a branding campaign.
- Conduct an informal focus group and gather feedback for market research.
- Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast, and digital media outlets.
- Create and implement a fundraising strategy.
- Plan, market, and present at an informational meeting.
- Utilize social media and develop web-based messaging strategies.
- Aid in The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
Requirements
No prior experience is required. We seek individuals passionate about combating poverty and advocating for change.
Qualifications
Open to all, regardless of GPA or background.
Skills
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct market research and analyze data.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and web-based messaging tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Benefits
This is an unpaid internship, but college credit is available.
