Description
The Borgen Project is an international organization dedicated to improving living conditions for people affected by war, famine, and poverty through political advocacy. With a history spanning 20 years, The Borgen Project has successfully supported the passage of legislation benefiting over 500 million individuals in developing countries.
Responsibilities
- Create a branding campaign.
- Conduct an informal focus group and gather feedback for market research.
- Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast, and digital media outlets.
- Create and implement a fundraising strategy.
- Plan, market, and present at an informational meeting.
- Utilize social media and develop web-based messaging strategies.
- Aid in The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
Requirements
- No prior experience necessary, applicants must be passionate about fighting poverty and advocating for change.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in global issues and social justice.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and web-based marketing.
