Social Media Content Creator (Part-Time)

About the role

The Social Media Content Creator supports the Wolf Conservation Center's online presence by shooting, editing, and scheduling photo and video content, collaborating with the Communications and Social Media Manager to align with campaigns and brand guidelines, monitoring community engagement, tracking themes, managing digital assets, and capturing behind-the-scenes content at events.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Communications and Social Media Manager to schedule content across social platforms
• Shoot and edit photos and short-form videos
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with campaigns, promotions, and brand guidelines
• Monitor and respond to direct messages, comments, and mentions across major social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and Bluesky
• Track recurring questions, sentiment, and community themes to identify opportunities for improved messaging, FAQs, or content
• Assist with digital asset management (photo and video library)
• Capture behind-the-scenes content at special events and key moments

Qualifications

• Strong eye for visual content – photo and video creation/editing skills required
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Creative Suite, FinalCut Pro, and other video/photo editing platforms
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts
• Proven experience creating content that is compelling and engaging

Pay

Competitive salary of $28 per hour.

Schedule

Part‑time, non‑exempt position requiring approximately 20 hours per week, based at the Wolf Conservation Center office in South Salem, NY.
