Social Coordinator
Ruggable is a leading direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand based in Los Angeles, California with an extraordinary track record of high, profitable growth. We pride ourselves on having an extremely loyal customer base and a talented team made up of genuinely caring people who take action and deliver results. We are venture-backed and own a patented washable rug design that's disrupting the home décor industry. Our mission is to empower our customers to live vibrantly with beautiful products that don't compromise on function.
About the role
Ruggable is looking for a Social Coordinator to join our growing social team. This is a dynamic role that blends coordination and orchestration with real creative and strategic work. You'll be the engine behind our social content operations, owning the content calendar, drafting tactical briefs, authoring our monthly newsletter, and serving as the connective tissue between social and cross-functional partners like email, copy, and creative. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas that actually get made, learn from a team of leaders with experience at top companies, and gain meaningful exposure to senior leadership early in your career.
We're looking for someone extremely proactive—a self-starter who anticipates needs before they arise, constantly seeks out opportunities to improve our work, and brings both strategic thinking and sharp attention to detail to everything they do. Our brand lives and breathes all things home, so our ideal candidate genuinely loves home decor and interior design, follows trends, knows the top social accounts, and gets excited about bringing new ideas to life in this space.
Responsibilities
- Content Calendar Ownership & Scheduling
- Own and manage the social content calendar end-to-end, ensuring all channels are planned, populated, properly linked, and up to date
- Liaise with our agency team's Social Strategist to ensure content across both in-house and agency teams is represented in our calendar
- Schedule and publish content across platforms, maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Proactively flag gaps, conflicts, and opportunities in the calendar before they become problems
- Tactical Brief Writing
- Draft tactical creative briefs for social content, with guidance and supervision from your Manager and/or Senior Director
- Translate campaign goals and brand priorities into clear, actionable direction for creative partners
- Iterate on briefs based on feedback and content performance analytics, sharpening your strategic and creative instincts over time
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the connective tissue between social and other departments—keeping the email team in the loop, workshopping concepts with copywriters, and ensuring alignment across channels
- Communicate timelines, priorities, and updates clearly to stakeholders across the organization
- Build strong working relationships that make collaboration seamless
- Ideation & Creative Contribution
- Always be thinking up new ideas—for content, campaigns, formats, and trends worth jumping on
- Actively contribute to social content brainstorms, bringing fresh concepts to the table and seeing your best ideas come to life
- Stay on top of social trends, platform updates, and cultural moments, bringing timely opportunities to the team
- Content Production Support
- Assist at pick-up shoots as needed, supporting on-set capture, supplemental content, and helping ensure we get everything we need
- Pitch in wherever production needs an extra set of hands, eyes, or ideas on social content needs
- Monthly Newsletter Authorship
- Serve as the main author of our monthly newsletter, owning it from draft to send
- Develop a consistent voice and format that keeps readers engaged and informed
- Collaborate with the team to source content, highlights, and updates worth sharing
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, or a related field (internships count)
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Extremely proactive work style—you anticipate needs, take initiative, and don't wait to be asked
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear briefs and engaging long-form content (like newsletters)
- A steady stream of creative ideas and the confidence to share them in brainstorms
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills for working across departments
- Deep familiarity with major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.)
- Aesthetic Intelligence: You have a strong eye for interior design and visual storytelling; you understand what "stops the scroll" for a design-conscious audience
- A pulse on internet culture, trends, and emerging platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- A genuine passion for the home decor and interiors space
- Experience with Social Media Scheduling, Management, and Analytics Tools: Dash, Talkwalker, etc.

- On-set or content production experience (shoots, content capture, BTS)
- Experience writing or managing a newsletter or email content
- Background in DTC, e-commerce, or consumer brands
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Airtable)
Benefits
- A dynamic, inclusive culture that values initiative and impact
- Exposure to a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand with opportunities to influence product and campaign-level outcomes
- Collaborative, cross-functional team environment with leaders experienced at top companies
