Soccer Shots Part Time Children's Soccer Coach

About the role

Soccer Shots is seeking passionate, energetic, and fun-loving youth soccer instructors to work with children aged 2 to 8 in the Southeastern Connecticut area (Old Lyme, East Lyme, Waterford, New London, Groton, Mystic, Stonington, Norwich).

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 2 to 8 in various settings including daycares, preschools, community centers, and parks.
• Coach sessions Monday through Sunday across four seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
• Ensure punctuality and manage groups of up to 10 children effectively.
• Communicate well with the Soccer Shots director of coaching and other relevant staff.
• Show enthusiasm and interact with young children in a manner that makes the Soccer Shots class a highlight of their week.
• Have some familiarity with soccer but not required; experience is a plus.
• Own and have daily access to a computer, printer, and internet.
• Be available on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings between 8:30am - 12:00pm.

Requirements

• Responsible: Arrive on time, manage groups of 10 or more children, keep accurate attendance, communicate well with the Soccer Shots director of coaching.
• Professional: Maintain neat appearance, be friendly and courteous with daycare center staff and directors, and parents.
• Enthusiastic: Enjoy working with young children and be able to connect with them on their level.
• Soccer Experience: Familiarity with the game is preferred but not required.
• Transportation: Own and have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license and car insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

$17.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with availability on Saturdays and Sundays between 8:30am - 12:00pm.
