Snowflake Data Modeler

Job Summary: Snowflake Data Modeler Role: Data Modeler (Snowflake) Location: Ridgefield, CT (3-4 days onsite; must be within 3 hours driving distance if relocating) Duration: 12+ months Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, high-performance physical data models in Snowflake. Translate conceptual and logical data models into Snowflake schemas, tables, and views. Collaborate with data engineers to improve ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns. Ensure data models and metadata comply with governance standards and are aligned with Collibra. Document all modeling and transformation logic for traceability and compliance. Support performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines. Work with global, distributed technical and business stakeholders. Required Qualifications 4-7 years experience as a Data Modeler or similar role. Strong expertise in Snowflake data modeling and SQL. Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. Demonstrated ability to partner with business and technical teams to define requirements and build scalable data solutions. Proficient in ETL/ELT and data integration concepts; experience with dbt, Matillion, or Fivetran is a plus. Required experience with Data Vault 2.0 methodology. Experience with metadata/data governance platforms, ideally Collibra. Familiarity with AWS S3 is a plus. Skilled in data modeling methodologies: Data Vault, Star Schema, and Normalization. Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in remote, cross-functional environments. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in pharma or life sciences organizations. Familiarity with data quality tools such as Ataccama. Experience in Agile environments and facilitating requirements-gathering workshops.
