Drive with Purpose. Help keep Moorhead Moving! The City of Moorhead is accepting applications for Temporary Equipment Operator and Temporary Truck Driver in the Streets Maintenance division of the Public Works Department.

Responsibilities

• Temporary Equipment Operator: Assist with winter snowplowing, hauling, anti-icing, and keeping City of Moorhead roads safe.
• Temporary Truck Driver: Haul snow, plow, provide traction control in winter; perform summer street maintenance including bituminous leveling, crack filling, and seal coating; follow safety guidelines; perform heavy lifting.

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• At least one year of experience with driving (equipment operator requires snow plowing experience)
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor
• Age 18 or older
• High school diploma or GED

Pay

• Temporary Equipment Operator: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
• Temporary Truck Driver: $20.50 – $22.50 per hour

Schedule

• Temporary Equipment Operator: Hours 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm, Monday‑Friday with occasional weekend; flexible for part‑time or specific days.
• Temporary Truck Driver: Hours 7:00 am‑3:30 pm, no weekends; flexible scheduling – choose hours, work part‑time 28 hours year‑around temporary or seasonally full‑time or part‑time.
