Green Ventures Landscape Care provides eco-friendly snow and ice management for residential, condominium, and commercial properties across Kitchener-Waterloo.

About the role

We are looking for reliable, safety-focused Snow Removal Operators to join our winter team. You will operate a variety of equipment—plow trucks, skid-steers, salt spreaders, and our semi-autonomous electric robotic plow—to clear snow and apply de-icing materials on client properties throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Operate plow trucks, skid-steers, and salt spreaders safely and efficiently during snow events.
• Deploy and monitor the semi-autonomous electric robotic plow on sidewalks and driveways.
• Apply brine and salt in accordance with Ontario Smart About Salt certification standards.
• Monitor weather stations and respond promptly to snowfall and ice conditions.
• Perform pre- and post-trip equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding service status and any issues.
• Maintain accurate logs of salt usage via onboard sensors and analytics software.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Class DZ or G license with clean abstract.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial snow-removal experience.
• Familiarity with brine application, salt-spreading equipment, and GPS-based telematics.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by weather conditions.
• Commitment to eco-friendly practices and Smart About Salt protocols.
• Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in extreme cold, and climb on/off equipment.

Schedule

• Seasonal position: November through March.
