Snow Plow/Salt Truck Driver

About the role

Provide professional snow removal services for clients, performing ongoing tasks during all hours of the day and night in all outdoor weather conditions while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Snow removal with plow/salt truck for designated areas
• Operate heavy equipment to remove snow and treat icy conditions
• Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions
• Perform highly physical and demanding work consistently in all weather conditions, especially very cold, icy, and snowy environments
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment: shovel, snow scrapers, snow blowers, salt spreaders
• Proper application method of chemical de-icers
• Part-time/on-call for weather events 24/7
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Knowledge of snow truck removal strategies
• Required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, grasp, carry, push, and pull as needed
• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds plus
• Able to work in all outdoor weather conditions (hot, cold, freezing, rain, snow, wet) with proper attire
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must have reliable transportation to the branch or first job site
• Safe driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
