Snow Crew Member

About the role

A Snow Crew Member is a flexible schedule position, on call as needed. Snow shovelers are responsible for snow removal with either a manual shovel or snow removal equipment. Employees should be able and willing to drive or travel locally if needed, and must be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, snow, ice, sun, and extreme cold.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested.
• Perform snow removal with a manual shovel.
• Spread salt as requested.
• Remove snow from storefronts using awning rakes.
• Operate small snow blowers.
• Operate walk behind snow sweepers.
• Monitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Must be able to drive to the work site or branch in adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently.

Skills

• Must be self-motivated.

Schedule

Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. The position is on call as needed.
