SMT Soldering Associate III (Touch Up)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow process documents and workflow instructions
• Follow all state, federal and local employment laws/all Vanguard work rules, policies and procedures
• Be a willing contributor in all continuous improvement, training and other workplace programs
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
• Work in a safe and efficient manner

• Ensure benches, tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition

Requirements

• Computer Skills: Basic level of proficiency in computer systems
• Language Skills: English (reading, writing, and verbal)
• Mathematical Skills: General Math Skills and ability
• Other Skills: Basic level of proficiency in computer systems
• Demonstrated self-management and problem solving skills
• Basic level of proficiency in computer systems
• Detail oriented, accuracy and thoroughness required
• Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Demonstrated ability to follow manufacturing processes and procedures required
• Demonstrated ability to interface with multiple levels of personnel throughout manufacturing required
• Strong attention to detail
• Effectively manipulate extremely small and/or fragile components and tools
• Ability to use visual aids, complicated drawings to verify quality products
• Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and professional manner at all times
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time
• Read, write and communicate English
• Perform accurate mathematic calculations (add, subtract, divide)
• Understand and adhere to all Vanguard's policies, processes and workplace guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience with electronic components preferred
• IPC Certification
• Experience soldering lead-free components
