SMT Operator

Job Description Set up, operate, and troubleshoot SMT equipment including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, SPI, and AOI systemsPerform machine changeovers, mechanical adjustments, feeder setup, and program loadingConduct offline setup and teardown of feeders and cartsVerify correct component placement, polarity, and setup prior to production runsInterpret work instructions, assembly drawings, BOMs, and setup sheetsEnsure all required tooling, stencils, and fixtures are available before beginning setupMonitor production for defects and take corrective action as neededPerform basic machine maintenance and escalate technical issues to Engineering or MaintenanceSupport first article inspections and process validation activitiesMaintain accurate production and quality documentationTrain and assist SMT Operator I team members as neededFollow ESD, safety, and quality procedures at all timesWork overtime as required to meet production schedules Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalentPrior contract manufacturing experience is a plus but will trainExperience with component packagesKnowledge of machine operation of Tape and Reel and feeder loadingGood understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Assembly DrawingsFluent with SMT Package sizes and component identificationAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environmentMust have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with othersMust be able to lift and carry items up to 25 lbsUS Citizen or Green Card holder Benefits 401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance Please note, this role is scheduled for the 2nd shift.
