SMT Mechanical Engineer(A Group MLB._.ME)-Houston,TX

About the role

This position involves working as a Mechanical Engineer within the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) department. The role includes fixture purchase coordination, new fixture/tool IQC, SMT assembly process data collection, failure root cause investigations, and process risk refinement.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with production and asset departments to ensure fixtures arrive before the build starts.
• Follow IQC inspection procedures to verify samples meet specifications.
• Collect and analyze assembly process data to improve yields.
• Investigate and implement corrective actions for SMT assembly failures.
• Summarize and refine assembly process risk points for proactive improvements.

Requirements

• Educational Requirements: Associate degree or above.
• Experience: 1-3 years in Fixture/JIG maintenance, tooling design, or precision equipment repair (electronics/smartphone manufacturing preferred).
• Experience: More than 1 year in assembly process improvement.

Qualifications
