About the role

Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology, the technologist operates imaging equipment to safely produce diagnostic images of various anatomical body parts for evaluation and interpretation by the radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Maintain professional, non‑defensive interactions with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
• Function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations for the Radiology Department and SMRMC Health Systems.
• Assist with orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to the unit.
• Attend and arrange yearly mandatory education sessions as required.

Schedule

• Assigned 80 hours per pay period, or PRN hours as determined by the Director of Radiology.
• Rotating shifts that include on‑call hours.
