SMRMC Full Time 1600-Registered Nurse/Inpatien-6222 Cardiac ICU

About the Role

The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to safely coordinate total patient care and education for patients as they are admitted and discharged from the facility. Assignments will be made based on current staffing needs across ICU, CVSU, ED, medical-surgical floors, and telemetry floors. The nurse will rotate between weekends and holidays according to the needs of the facility and function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide total patient care and education using the nursing process
• Document all care given, review and maintain patient charts per policy
• Assist with accurate and timely entry of patient data, orders, and charges into the computer system
• Collaborate with the CNO, ACNO, Nurse Manager, staff, physicians, administrators, and peers
• Promote teamwork between staff, physicians, home health, hospital-owned outpatient clinics, and ancillary departments
• Maintain all certifications and licensure requirements on time
• Attend yearly mandatory and assigned Healthstream education sessions

Requirements

• Must be able to work and relate in a professional, non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors
• Must pass a pharmacology test for this position
• Attendance to yearly mandatory education requirements is non-negotiable and the responsibility of the employee
