SMO Shop Supervisor

Non-Exempt/Hourly position with 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (8:00am – 6:00pm). Must be available Saturdays or Sundays (sometimes both) and work holiday periods: December 23rd – January 2nd, January 17th-19th, and February 14th-16th.

About the role

The Mountain Outfitters Supervisor supports the Mountain Outfitter Manager in overseeing rental, retail, and repair operations at Sundance Mountain Outfitters. This role leads a team, ensures accurate rental documentation, delivers high-level guest service, and maintains smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support a team of up to 15 staff members.
• Ensure accurate rental fittings, binding settings, liability forms, and repair services.
• Maintain POS accuracy, cash handling, and troubleshoot system issues.
• Schedule staff, manage labor costs, and uphold service standards.
• Support retail operations: stocking, merchandising, inventory, and product knowledge.
• Perform and train others in tuning, waxing, and repair services.
• Partner with other resort departments to deliver seamless guest experiences.
• Promote sustainability and the Sundance brand story.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 3+ years rental experience and 2+ years as Ski/Snowboard Technician.
• Binding manufacturer certifications (can be obtained during training).
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. and work on feet for long shifts in winter conditions.
• Must be 18+ years old.

Pay

$20.00–$22.00/hr
