Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products Engineering Leadership Development Program
About the role
The Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products (SI EP) division is seeking rising engineering graduates for its Engineering Leadership Development Program. This two-year program includes four six-month rotations across various Siemens SI EP sites and engineering functions, designed to accelerate your growth and prepare you for a full-time role within SI EP.
Responsibilities
- Participate in four, six-month rotational assignments across key engineering functions including design control, research and development, application engineering, manufacturing, software/hardware development, and project management.
- Develop and enhance innovative products, technologies, and applications for low-voltage controls and power distribution systems.
- Contribute new ideas and tackle complex engineering challenges through creative problem-solving, discovering the most effective and efficient solutions.
- Collaborate across different teams and business areas, leveraging cross-functional perspectives and shared expertise to achieve project objectives and drive business results.
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, completed within one academic year of the program’s start date.
- Available to start full-time employment in early January 2027 or early July 2027.
- Growth mindset, learning agility, and enthusiasm for developing new technical skills and interdisciplinary experiences in areas such as programming, design simulation, business development, strategic customer engagement, data analytics, and machine learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey strategic and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and collaboration through experiences or activities that showcase initiative, responsibility, teamwork, and willingness to support peers.
- Experience with CAD and simulation tools, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving frameworks.
- Must be willing and able to relocate domestically and/or internationally for each rotation and travel as required by the program (relocation assistance is provided if relocating more than 50 miles from your permanent address).
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical power distribution/power management technology or technology related to energy systems or the smart grid.
- Familiarity with FEA and CFD tools.
- Exposure to programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ and ability to perform basic data analysis.
- Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Skills
Essential skills include proficiency in CAD and simulation tools, experience with programming languages, and familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma.
Benefits
Siemens offers competitive compensation packages, including a salary range of $80,000 to $83,000, depending on experience and location.
