About the Role

The Warehouse Lead oversees the put-away of small-parcel products into inventory and the pulling and staging of products for shipment. This role is responsible for the flow of product into and out of inventory to shipping locations, directing Arhaus employees and temporary associates under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. The lead ensures operations run safely, productively, and effectively while maintaining high inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Set the tone and provide leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned Distribution Center team members and temporary associates.
  • Support other departmental leads and management initiatives on and off the floor to ensure compliance with policies, process improvements, and team member initiatives.
  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with creating the daily door sheet and coding the delivery schedule to align with the day’s workload.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of the shift plan for putaway and pulling, aligned with the overall DC Daily Plan.
  • Work with supervisors to assign AWM work schedules prior to the start of shift, evaluating staffing and cross-referencing with the vacation schedule.
  • Ensure SHP locations are clear in STORIS prior to pulling new product; report and resolve discrepancies immediately.
  • Assist with pulling product, provide coverage for breaks, and ensure the team has no downtime; report any associate not working during scheduled times.
  • Relay time-sensitive information and conflicts between associates professionally and confidentially.
  • Review monthly safety topics during morning meetings and conduct regular equipment audits; emphasize safety and report unsafe practices.
  • Read and understand job aids/work instructions and follow oral instructions to execute component flow requirements.
  • Maintain, refine, and improve processes to meet customer deadlines and quality standards.
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment, focusing on DC metrics and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar suite.
  • Ability to train individuals in putaway, pulling, and warehouse processing functions.
  • Willingness to adjust schedule and hours as needed to support departmental needs.

Essential Functions

  • Stand for extended periods while performing job functions.
  • Perform prolonged standing, repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • No physical limitations that prevent carrying and moving furniture weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • Certification on a reach truck and pallet jack required.
  • Consistent, regular scheduled attendance is essential.

Work Environment

  • Work performed in a warehouse facility with temperatures subject to normal environmental conditions.
  • Safety glasses and steel-toe shoes required; additional safety equipment provided as needed.
  • Work surfaces are primarily concrete.
