About the role
The Slot Attendant is responsible for providing a level of service that is gracious, kind, and warm, creating an exciting environment and World Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality and Charm for casino guests. This role is a key customer service provider on the casino floor, servicing and building relationships with guests, paying hand-pay jackpots, exchanging currency, executing player’s club signups, and performing minor repairs on slot machines. The Slot Attendant ensures compliance with approved procedures for the slot areas in a professional manner and protects company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance.
Pay
$24.39–$27.10 per hour
Responsibilities
- Be punctual to pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and openly participate
- Provide guest service with energy and professionalism, delivering Old-World Hospitality with Old-World Charm
- Know and deliver the company core values
- Maintain the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of gaming machines
- Ensure gaming devices are operating properly and place prompt calls for technical or supervisory assistance when necessary
- Actively promote and issue the players’ card and reprint cards upon request; meet set goals for players’ card signups
- Change ticket paper, write up jackpot forms correctly, read pay table information, and recall vital game histories
- Handle guest relations and minor guest disputes
- Notify shift supervisor of irregularities in customers’ play
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards
- Effectively handle customer concerns and requests
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all company information
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by department and/or company management
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Professionalism and ability to handle high levels of stress
- Flexibility with all different schedules
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to use an “in-ear” communication device for radio communications
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced casino environment with low lighting, noise, loud music, and multiple distractions while multi-tasking
- Must be able to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
- Physically mobile with the ability to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently with reasonable accommodations
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces or crowded conditions
- Must be able to clean and sanitize all gaming equipment on the Slot floor
Compliance Responsibilities
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
- Obtain required license(s)
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations
- Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
- Knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department
- Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling
- Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls
- Investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any team member
