Slitter Operator

About the role

The Extrusion Operators at ProAmpac are integral to our fast-paced, safety-oriented, and growing industry. We are actively hiring at our Cincinnati, OH facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate a slitter machine in a safe manner and produce quality product with minimal scrap.
• Meet production schedules and keep work area clean.
• Run the slitter machine to create film.
• Perform any light maintenance that is needed on assigned machine and communicate any major issues to supervisor/lead.
• Read, understand, and follow all work instructions to produce product that meets standards (production, scrap and quality).
• Ensure compliance with all certification requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with AIB/ISO standards.
• Maintain quality of products being produced at or above the required specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong math, measurement, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor.
• Able to work overtime.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
