Slip Seat Truck Driver | Fontana, CA

About the role

Knight Transportation is seeking experienced Class A CDL Truck Drivers for part-time positions. These positions are slip seating, meaning the tractor is shared with another slip seating driver when the driver is off duty.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks according to company policy and safety standards
• Set your own schedule based on availability
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• At least 21 years old
• 6 months of Class A driving experience within the last year or 1 year of Class A experience within the last 5 years
• No DUI within 5 years or 10 years if CDL holder at time of DUI
• No more than 1 preventable accident in the past 2 years, no major accident within 5 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• Pass a DOT physical and drug test

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must not have an arrest or conviction record that would disqualify them under 49 CFR Part 391. Background checks are required.

Skills

Strong driving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are essential.
