SLEEP TECH (RPSGT)- Sleep Medicine- 4 nights/wk, 10 hr shifts

General Summary

This position is full-time, 4 nights per week (7:30pm-5:30am). This includes weekends as needed.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide patient education regarding the sleep test.
• Select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to standards.
• Perform routine PAP fitting and desensitization.
• Analyzes sleep testing data accurately and in a timely fashion as directed by the Office Physician.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Required:
• -Previous experience in a sleep lab.
• -Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).
• -Adheres to CLIA and OSHA regulations.
• -Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• -Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• -Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• -Experience scoring sleep studies.
