SLC Intervention Specialist

About the role

The Hamilton Local School District seeks an Intervention Specialist for their Student Learning Classroom (SLC) Unit at Hamilton Township High School. The position starts on August 10, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Provides an educational program for students as defined in their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
• Develops and implements an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) for each student, aligned with their educational strengths and needs as determined by the multifactored evaluation and IEP process, and in conjunction with the Regular Education Curriculum.
• Completes necessary reports and record keeping as required by state and local policies and procedures.
• Works cooperatively with regular classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying general education curricula as necessary, and supporting students with regular class assignments.

Requirements

A valid K-12 or 9-12 Intervention Specialist Mild/Mod or Mod/Intense Teaching Certificate through the Ohio Department of Education is required.
