About the role
The Opening We are currently seeking an emergency response Truck Driver to be based in Salt Lake City to assist with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS – Pause, Review, Observe, Start
- Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with biological and chemical materials
- Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift
- Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights
- Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washer
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
- Travel is required
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience safely operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
- Valid driver's license
- A minimum of a Class B CDL, it is preferable to have a Class A CDL with a HazMat and Tanker endorsement

- Passes a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam
- Likely to be eligible for OSHA (40 hour) Certification
- Willingness to work on an on-call basis as business needs require
- Ability to work in a physically intensive role
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to wear a respirator
Qualifications
- Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
Skills
- Environmental experience
- Hazardous waste experience and certification (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER)
- Heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience
