About the role

We are seeking a Senior Slate Agent to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, guiding them through Slate's products, and serving as the primary point of accountability for client outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer relationship, independently managing a portfolio of prospective and active clients across all stages of the discovery, purchase, and delivery lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for client outcomes, making real-time decisions to resolve concerns, adjust strategy, and ensure a differentiated experience.
  • Discover, manage, and oversee the execution of Slate activations, handling client interactions and directing how the brand and product are presented.
  • Exercise subject matter authority, function as a recognized expert amongst peers and customers on Slate vehicles, EV technology, ownership considerations, and charging infrastructure.
  • Evaluate client needs and determine the most appropriate product, financing, and delivery configuration, drawing on deep product and market knowledge.
  • Successfully manage your own customers while taking time to mentor those on your team.
  • Drive process and operational quality, establish and maintain rigorous CRM standards, identify patterns in client concerns, and present actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Make consequential decisions independently, determine appropriate resolutions for customer issues, and manage competing client priorities and pipeline complexity.
  • Cultivate long-term client relationships that produce repeat engagement and active brand advocacy, creating a community of Slate owners who evangelize the product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required given relevant and commensurate professional experience.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in Sales or Customer Service roles, ideally with electric vehicles, their ownership, and electric vehicle charging.
  • Preference for high-volume retail.
  • Passionate to work for a disruptor in the automotive industry, particularly with EVs.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills with an ability to fluidly discuss both technical and generic topics in plain language.
  • Fearlessness and initiative, extremely hardworking, does the right thing when no one is looking.
  • Transparency, integrity, and honesty, you are not afraid to admit when you are wrong.
  • Ability to work independently with modest supervision and in a team environment.
  • Resilience for the whirlwind of changes that is the norm at a start-up.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and making the best judgment without full information.
  • An understanding that you will be a part of creating processes and procedures, not following them.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Must have the ability to travel (up to 25%).

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle complex transaction topics like financing structures, registration requirements, trade-in valuation, and delivery logistics.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Passion for electric vehicles and the automotive industry.

Pay

The expected base salary range offered for this role is $75,900-$106,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, and geographic location.
