Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Sr HR Program Manager, LOA

Slalom is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead a large-scale Leave of Absence (LOA) transformation initiative. This role will oversee a complex portfolio of work streams focused on migrating leave management processes to a third-party vendor platform, modernizing supporting systems, improving data quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling future AI-driven employee experiences. The ideal candidate combines deep program management expertise with practical experience in leave administration, benefits operations, payroll processes, and enterprise HR technology implementations.

What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of a multi-year LOA transformation program extending through 2028.
- Coordinate cross-functional work streams spanning: Benefits, HR Operations, Payroll, Engineering, Data & Analytics, Compliance and Legal, and Vendor Management.
- Manage business and technical requirements gathering for the transition of leave management processes to a third-party leave administration platform.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across multiple teams and executive sponsors while balancing competing priorities and dependencies.
- Ensure accurate integration and data flows between leave administration systems, HR systems, payroll platforms, data lakes, and downstream applications.
- Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies across the program and proactively drive mitigation plans.
- Coordinate solution design and implementation efforts related to: Leave policies, Payroll wage types, System integrations, Vendor onboarding, and Rules and compliance management.
- Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, and executive reviews to support program decision-making.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams on connector platform development and modernization efforts.
- Support organizational readiness, change management, training, and communications activities.
- Help define the future-state employee, manager, and HR leave experience, including AI-enabled capabilities and data readiness initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of program or project management experience managing large-scale enterprise initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading Leave of Absence, Benefits Administration, Workforce Management, Disability Management, or HR Transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of: Leave of Absence processes, FMLA and state leave regulations, Disability programs, Payroll impacts and pay calculations, and HR compliance considerations.
- Experience managing enterprise software implementations and complex system integrations.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong risk management and dependency management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and influence without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with leave administration vendors such as Prudential or similar providers.
- Experience supporting payroll platforms, HR data ecosystems, and enterprise reporting environments.
- Background in HR process modernization, workflow optimization, and change management.
- Experience supporting AI readiness, data modernization, or employee experience transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with large enterprise environments and highly regulated HR processes.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted hourly pay range is $70-85hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
