SL- Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee - SNF

Summary of Duties

• Provides personal care and ADL’s care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Keeps residents rooms and care areas clean and neat.
• Participates in the orientation of new residents to the facility.
• Documents care as instructed and required.
• Reports all changes in the resident’s condition to the charge nurse.
• Checks assigned residents routinely to ensure their personal care needs are being met.
• Assists in transporting residents to/from various facilities and programs.
• Makes sure to monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Encourages residents to participate in activity programs and assists as needed.
• Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
• Aids in lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of various equipment and positions, using appropriate techniques.
• Serves meals and assists with feeding as necessary.
• Responds to call lights and resident requests promptly and courteously.

Requirements

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Alabama or obtain certification within 120 days of hire.
• Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
