SkyLife Medical Transport in Nashville is an advanced air medical service operated by HCA Healthcare TriStar Division, providing critical care transport for patients within a 300-mile range of Nashville. Based at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, it serves as an "ICU in the sky" for emergencies, specializing in high-risk neonatal, obstetric, and ECMO patients.
Responsibilities
- Responds to medical emergencies and provides advanced critical care during the transport to the hospital.
- Partners with firefighters and police in evaluating the situation.
- Offers basic and advanced life-saving support, administers treatments, and directs EMTs in delivering patient care consistent with training and level of certification.
- Operates emergency medical vehicle and responds to calls for aid in emergent situations.
- Evaluates patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.
- Provides a variety of emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
- Performs invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
- Manages non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting the valuables of a patient if necessary.
- Lifts and transports patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.
- Communicates patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Prehospital Trauma Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Drivers License.
- Tennessee Critical Care Certification.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 annually.

The schedule for this position is typically 24-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
