About the role

This full-time, entry-level Inside Sales position is the first point of contact for customers visiting the home office, calling the 800 number, or seeking assistance on TSP’s website. The role supports the Parts Manager by handling calls and fulfilling parts orders, while also enhancing sales efforts through quoting, lead generation, and vetting for all customer types. It serves as a bridge between sales and purchasing, with significant MS Excel work and coordination to ensure company programs and procedures are followed. This position is designed to prepare individuals for a future territory sales role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Commercial Parts Manager with building quotes, taking calls, and customer follow-up.
  • Cross-sell for outside Sales Account Executives across all product groups.
  • Act as the primary Commercial Equipment Salesperson for unassigned customers visiting the facility or calling through the Call Center.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all inbound sales leads through the TSP website or supplier partner programs.
  • Support Inside Departments as needed, including Parts Sales, Sales Support, Purchasing, and Pre-Owned equipment initiatives.
  • Engage in proactive sales initiatives and projects, including researching and building customer lists.
  • Follow company policies and government regulations while upholding TSP’s standards and values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical skills and understanding of turf equipment.
  • Suggestive selling experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Creative, independent thinker with great listening skills.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and quickly learn company/supplier operating systems.
  • Open-minded with a willingness to work with multiple points of view.
  • Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurable to drive for the company, and a clean motor vehicle record.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday – Friday.

Pay

Hourly wage.
