Responsibilities
- Set-up, support and production of high-quality products.
- Create a highly productive work environment.
- Support planning, checking, establishing a sequence of work to fabricate, assemble and inspect hardware.
- Provide appropriate job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions.
- Prioritize, complete and process work assignments.
- Move products within the shop-defined area, including across aisle, using shop assigned equipment as required.
- Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, technique sheets, work orders, and other documentation.
- Perform self-inspection of in-process and finished work using precision measuring equipment.
- Initiate and document any non-conforming conditions.
- Perform skin polishing, hand form, flap peening, drilling, and disassembly as required.
- Perform process activities including protective coatings, metal polishing, isoscope, and other tasks to support production requirements.
- Set-up and test electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic assemblies and components.
- Perform spray and brush priming.
- Perform hand finishing operations as described.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 2+ years of precision hand forming and sanding skills. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with the following tools: In line die grinder, 90 degree die grinder, orbital sander, jitterbug, and all applicants must be willing and able to work any shift, including alternative work weeks.
- Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 2 years experience in aircraft industry blending detail parts, fabricated skins, or in sheet metal.
