Responsibilities
- Works in a 1:1 setting assisting an individual with developmental disabilities.
- Increases daily, independent, and community living skills of the individual.
- May assist with tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, chores, money management, library use, shopping, or community group activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in special education or psychology or related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience in skills development with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Good judgment and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
- Valid drivers' license, operational and insured vehicle, and willingness to transport individuals.
- Demonstrated commitment to individual empowerment and community integration.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the population we support.
- High energy level and superior interpersonal skills.
