ANTHEM is a TAA-licensed umbrella organization for several real estate and creative companies in Waco, TX. Our headquarters and studios are located in downtown Waco, focused on restoring and rejuvenating the city—one building, tenant, or visitor at a time. This work involves behind-the-scenes administrative and hands-on tasks that, combined with our team’s skills, drive our broader mission: development by design. Directors Peter & Summer Ellis, Baylor alumni, bring approximately 40 years of collective experience in design and business development.
About the role
We are hiring a detail-oriented and diligent Skilled Worker / Maintenance team member to contribute to revitalizing downtown Waco. This role offers the opportunity to work with a growing, family- and values-based company while delivering quality experiences to the downtown population through superior equipment knowledge, space revitalization, and project execution aligned with our organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Address maintenance issues for tenants, including diagnosing and resolving plumbing problems from start to finish.
- Apply substantial knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Work on small construction projects such as drywall and plasterwork.
- Manage projects across multiple locations while maintaining professionalism.
- Collaborate with the team and take direction from team leaders.
- Interact with tenants in a professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Pay
Starting pay ranges from $13–$20/hour. After a 90-day probationary/training period, employees are eligible for merit-based increases and promotions.
