Skilled Trades- Industrial Electrician

About the role

Nexteer Automotive - Saginaw, Michigan Operations is seeking candidates for Industrial Electrician positions. Applicants must demonstrate safety orientation, self-starting team skills, and the ability to coach/mentor.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems to make repairs on industrial automotive equipment
• Work with 480-volt power distribution and 480-volt motor controls
• Understand AC & DC theory and basic electronics
• Read and understand industrial hard wire prints and PLC ladder logic prints
• Work with Allen Bradley PLC 2, 5’s and SL500’s, Modicon 984’s and Quantum programmable controllers
• Use software that interfaces with Allen Bradley and Modicon controllers such as Proworks NXT, RS logics, and Modsoft software
• Work with GE Fanuc CNC controls and Fanuc digital servo systems including encoders, resolvers, and linear scales
• Experience with HVAC systems and state certification to handle refrigerants is preferred but not required
• Experience with furnace controls and pyrometer type tasks is preferred but not required

Requirements

• One of the following certifications:
• Journeyman’s card
• Completed a Department of Labor - Certified Program
• At least 6 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician
• Minimum 4 years relative experience for Journeyperson in Training positions
