Skilled Trade – Stationary Steam Engineer – Buffalo Stamping Plant (BSP)

Rate of Pay and Benefits

• Paid a top hourly base rate of $45.115, plus applicable shift, overtime, and holiday premiums.
• The starting rate for this position is $44.915 with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or have a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.
• Experience in operation, monitoring, PM and repair of air compressors, refrigeration equipment and various types of combustion equipment.
• Strong electrical background for troubleshooting combustion firing controls, refrigeration equipment and related safety devices.
• Candidates must have CFC certification, and need to have a boiler operating license from their state/municipality.
• Experience with water testing and treatment and chemical treatment and chemical unloading for various processes, in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Experience maintaining pumps.
• Knowledge and work experience in blueprint reading and layout, CAD, and pneumatic fluid systems.
