Skilled TIG Welder - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Utilize TIG welding and other welding methods to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components to meet production and quality standards.
• Work safely and efficiently, and be comfortable working from blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions.
• Safely and efficiently operate assigned equipment.
• Read, understand, and accurately execute work orders and quality assurance (QA) standards per job requirements.
• Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using welding equipment.
• Perform quality checks during production to ensure parts/pieces meet tolerance requirements.
• Work within our fabrication and machining shop and play an important role in producing high-quality metal components and assemblies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of TIG welding 16-gauge to 1/4-inch stainless steel and aluminum.
• Previous welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Welding certifications are considered a plus.
• Must successfully complete a weld test required before employment.
• Possess knowledge of metal plate types (steel, aluminum, stainless, galvanized, etc.), sizes, and shapes (beams, channels, angles, pipe, flat bar, etc.).
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in an industrial shop setting.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, protractors, compasses, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.

• Strong attention to detail.
• A solid understanding of fabrication practices.
• A commitment to producing quality work in a team-oriented environment.

Skills

• Experience with common welding processes such as GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), SMAW, and SAW.
