Skilled Maintenance Technician II

About the role

The Skilled Maintenance Technician II position is to perform a variety of skilled construction, maintenance, and repair duties in support of the Facilities department; and to provide technical assistance to assigned supervisory staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of skilled construction, maintenance, and repair duties in support of the Facilities department.
• Provide technical assistance to assigned supervisory staff.
• Estimate time, materials, and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as needed.
• Complete assigned work orders and tasks.
• Maintain logs and records of work performed, and file reports, as required.
• Assess new projects and design and layout projects.
• Ensure proper and efficient completion of tasks.
• Perform field inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to City policies and work plans and designs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Three (3) years of full-time skilled maintenance and/or technical experience related to area of assignment
• Possess or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges

• Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
• Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
• Equipment, materials, chemicals, and supplies used in a skilled maintenance program

• Read and interpret plans and drawings
• Safely use assigned vehicles and equipment
• Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships

Pay

Salary $28.54 - $34.27 Hourly

Schedule

Work Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm - Position will include being on the afterhours emergency stand-by-roster. This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year
