Skilled Laborer
About the role
PC is seeking Laborers responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for the erection of structures and buildings. Work in excess of a 40-hour week may be necessary. Prevailing wages apply, and at least one year of experience in construction or related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Unloading and loading materials
- Tending machines
- Mixing and pouring concrete
- Assisting carpenters, equipment operators, and other construction site workers
- Serving as choker setters, concrete crewmen, or demolition laborers (including salvaging materials, loading, cleaning up, wrecking)
- Working as dump men, flagmen, fence erectors and installers (other than chain link), including installation and erection of fences, guard rails, medial rails, reference posts, guide posts, and right-of-way markers
- Stripping forms
- General labor tasks
- Riprap work
- Scale operations
- Stake jumping
- Moving structures, including foundation, separation, preparation, cribbing, shoring, jacking, and unloading
- Water nozzle operations
- Truck loading
- Water distribution
- Tool room attendance
