About the Role

At Crown Co., we're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, notices the details others miss, and enjoys solving problems with their hands. This role is ideal for someone who values quality craftsmanship, enjoys learning new skills, and wants to build a career—not just earn a paycheck. You’ll work on diverse projects, from remodeling facilities to constructing new structures, alongside a team that values hard work, integrity, and camaraderie.

Responsibilities

  • Demolish and prepare work areas while protecting existing structures.
  • Read blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Measure, frame, install, repair, and finish construction projects.
  • Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, drywall backing, and finish carpentry.
  • Complete repairs and building maintenance across company facilities.
  • Coordinate with project managers and teammates to keep projects moving.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
  • Load, organize, and maintain tools and materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
  • Ensure every project meets standards for quality and craftsmanship.
  • Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Requirements

  • Takes ownership without waiting to be told.
  • Finds satisfaction in quality craftsmanship.
  • Enjoys learning new skills and improving every day.
  • Solves problems instead of making excuses.
  • Can work independently but knows how to be a great teammate.
  • Shows up on time because people count on you.
  • Takes pride in leaving every jobsite better than you found it.
  • Believes integrity matters, even when no one is watching.
  • Wants a career—not just another paycheck.

Qualifications

Experience helps, but attitude matters even more. Preferred qualifications include:

  • 2+ years of remodeling or residential/commercial carpentry experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction methods.
  • Experience with rough and finish carpentry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

This is hands-on work that requires you to:

  • Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work on scaffolding.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in changing weather.
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.

Core Values

  • Grit – We don’t quit when things get tough.
  • Loyalty – We have each other’s backs.
  • Enjoying the Journey – Work should be meaningful and rewarding.
  • Integrity – We do the right thing every time.
  • Positive Mindset – We focus on solutions, not excuses.
